In her role at Boosey Wilson Group, she provides clients with access to the best legal & professional talent available. Relying on the vast networks she has established throughout her two decades in the industry, Tara is able to recruit the best talent available for each open position.
For the preceding 16 years to founding Boosey Wilson Group, Tara worked for one of the nation’s largest recruiting companies, most recently in the role of Vice President of Legal Talent. In this position, she led a team of more than 80 recruiters across the country tasked with finding talent for law firms and corporations. In addition, Tara implemented the company’s Culture Champions program, which enlisted over 50 culture champions across all business lines and offices to promote a fun and productive culture. During her first 13 years with the company, she led the Nashville office where she grew the team to be one of the top offices in the nation. Tara was recognized for her outstanding contributions to the company by winning the Executive Director of the Year (2005, 2015), Branch of the Year (2015) and Top Performer (2004-2005, 2009, 2011, 2013-2015) awards.
Tara began her legal recruiting career at Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry (now Bradley) as the HR Manager and Attorney Recruiter, which is where her interest and passion for legal recruiting began.
Tara graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Management and a concentration in Human Resources. In addition, she has completed several sales leadership trainings and courses during her career.
Tara enjoys giving back in the community through her non-profit work and is active in several organizations, including All About Women, Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center Young Ambassadors, Nashville Emerging Leaders, Gilda’s Club of Nashville and Habitat for Humanity. Tara has also served on the board for the Nashville chapter of NALS and on the advisory board for Western Kentucky University’s paralegal program.
If you ask Tara what she is most proud of, she will easily tell you it is her family. She loves spending time with her husband and Boosey Wilson Group co-founder, Matthew; her daughter, Kennedy; and her dogs, Winston and Willie.
